Cellestial E-Mobility unveils electric tractor in Hyderabad.

By Ketan Chowdary Sunkara//evcars.in//14 March 2020.

Cellestial E-Mobility had released India's first electric tractor. The tractor have many new interesting features like battery swapping, regenerative brakes. This tractor is only made by three main critters, those are Siddartha Durairajan who is the Co-Founder, Celestial e-Mobility, He was from engineering background and his partners Syed is from the batteries technnology from last 19 years. He also has another partner who is the manufacturing background, named Mithun.

Cellestial E-Mobility began its operation in May 2019 and raised $2,00,000 investment from Singapore-based angel investor. It is waiting for more increase about $6-$8 million in next 6 months. For this opportunity it is in talk with private equity players and venture capitalists. It looks like they are going to close the fund in next six months. So the Cellestial E-Mobility is trying to make the tractor self-driven.

This tractor is very eco-friendly unlike the others. Durairajan said the e-tractor, claimed to be better on the performance matrix compared to diesel-powered tractors, is engineered to be a zero-emission environment-friendly tractor for horticultural works. They can also be used as hauling baggage in airport, moving goods within the warehouse etc.

The EV transition is expected to present unmet opportunity for Indian manufacturers to cater to the demand. Cellestial has a capacity to build 100 e-mobility heavy vehicles, and can create larger volumes if the consumption for its product grows.

So all this is the all new Cellestial E-Mobility that made another revolutionary EV. Though, this tractor was found before, it wasn't launched in India. This company is the first one to welcome the EV tractor to India. I hope they can bring more new and exiting technology to India.
